TRAILHEAD PLAYGROUND Creation: A platform provided by Salesforce for every individual to learn & explore Salesforce designed in a fun way.
CRM Overview: Salesforce, Inc. is a famous American cloud-based software company that provides CRM services. Salesforce is a popular CRM tool for support, sales, and marketing teams worldwide. Salesforce services allow businesses to use cloud technology to better connect with partners, customers, and potential customers.
SALESFORCE OBJECT’s: Salesforce Objects are database tables that allow us to store data specific to organization in salesforce.
SALESFORCE App Building: Documentation of discussions, decisions, and action items from meetings, ensuring clarity and accountability.
FIELD Creation: Fields come in various types, including text, number, picklist, date, and more, and they are employed to house data that pertains to a particular object. For instance, the Account object includes fields such as Account Name, Account Number, and Phone.
TAB’s Creation: A tab is a link you can create to an object on Salesforce. It gives you a UI path to access an object quickly and easily.
Application Overview: Salesforce is a CRM platform and also a centralized platform for managing customer accounts, sales leads, activities, customer support cases, and more. Users can access Salesforce through a web browser, mobile app, or desktop application
SALESFORCE Page Layouts: A Page Layout in Salesforce is a framework that determines the organization and presentation of fields, related lists, and custom links on object record pages. It controls how a record is displayed and interacted with in Salesforce, specifying which fields are visible, editable, and how they are arranged.
SALESFORCE Lightning Record Pages: Lightning Record Pages give you complete control over the structure of the entire page itself, allowing for up to three columns, sidebars, headers, pinned or not pinned, and more. Within the structure of your given page, you can control everything.
Compact Layouts Overview: Compact layouts are used to display the key field values of a record at a quick glance. The fields specified in the compact layout are visible on the highlights panel of the Salesforce mobile app and desktop.
Record Types: Salesforce Record Types are a way of grouping many records of one type for that object. These can be applied to any standard or custom object and allow you to have a different page layout, fields, required fields, and picklist values.
Salesforce Relationships: Relationship in Salesforce refers to the way two or more objects are connected or related to each other within the data model. Relationships define how records in one object are associated with records in another object, allowing us to establish connections and retrieve related data efficiently.
SALESFORCE Security Model Overview: To enforce data layers of security at a personal and organizational level, Salesforce uses three levels of security: Object-level security. Field-level security. Record-level security.
Profiles: Profiles in Salesforce serve as templates that determine the baseline level of access and permissions for users. They encapsulate a collection of settings and permissions that govern user behavior, visibility, and data access.
Permission Sets: A permission set is a template that you create and maintain that defines a collection of one or more IAM policies. Permission sets simplify the assignment of AWS account access for users and groups in your organization.
OWD (Sharing Settings): Salesforce Organization-Wide default (OWD) or Organization-Wide sharing settings determine the default or baseline level of access for all records of an object. Organization-wide defaults can never grant users more access than they have through their object permissions.
Roles: A role in Salesforce defines a user’s visibility access at the record level. Roles may be used to specify the types of access that people in your Salesforce organization can have to data. Simply put, it describes what a user could see within the Salesforce organization.
Sharing Rules: In Salesforce, sharing rules are like access control mechanisms for your data. They determine who can see, edit, or delete specific records beyond what’s granted by the organization-wide defaults (OWD). These rules aim to give access to records based on pre-defined criteria.
Manual Sharing Rules: Manual sharing extends record accessibility to various entities, including public groups, roles, subordinates, and individual users. It’s also important to note that manual sharing in Salesforce is designed to extend access, not restrict it.
Multi-Factor Authentication: We all want to keep our online accounts and data secure. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a great way to do just that. MFA adds an extra layer of security to Salesforce by requiring you to enter two or more pieces of evidence about your identity—or factors—each time you log in. The first factor is something you know, like your username and password combination. The second is a verification method that you have in your possession, like the Salesforce Authenticator mobile app. With MFA, even if hackers steal your password, they can’t log in because they don’t have your mobile device with Salesforce Authenticator installed on it.
SALESFORCE Roll-Up Summary Fields: A roll-up summary field is one that aggregates data from a child object to a parent object that shares a Master-Detail relationship. Roll-up summary fields can use the COUNT, SUM, MIN, and MAX functions.
Validation Rules: Validation rules verify that the data a user enters in a record meets the standards you specify before the user can save the record. A validation rule can contain a formula or expression that evaluates the data in one or more fields and returns a value of “True” or “False”.
Salesforce Automation Overview: The sales process is full of repetitive, administrative tasks, from data entry to task management. Sales force automation software automates many of these administrative duties so sellers can spend less time clicking around a CRM system and more time working with customers.
Lightning Flow’s: Lightning flows (or simply flows) help you automate complex business processes and manual data entry. Flows let you work smarter, not harder, by saving your users time and making sure the required tasks are accomplished correctly.
Lightning Flow’s scenario’s: Salesforce Lightning is a component-based framework for building modern and responsive web applications on the Salesforce platform. It allows developers and administrators to easily create custom user interfaces and business logic using pre-built components, drag-and-drop functionality, and declarative programming.
SALESFORCE Data Management: Effective Salesforce data management streamlines operations, boosts customer relations, and informs decisions. It ensures accurate, relevant, and up-to-date data, improving sales, marketing, and customer service performance, while also preventing costly errors and maximizing ROI.
Data Loader’s: A Salesforce data loader is an application used to insert, update, delete, and export large amounts of data to, within, and from Salesforce. The application can also move customer data from one system to another, upload new data in bulk, and export records to backup or move it to another system.
INTERVIEW QUESTION Discussion on Live Scenario’s: Interview Discussion on current live Salesforce topics.
SALESFORCE Assignment Rules: Assignment rules automate your organization’s lead generation and support processes. Use lead assignment rules to specify how leads are assigned to users or queues. Use case assignment rules to determine how cases are assigned to users or put into queues.
LEAD Assignment Rules: The leads generated through different channels have to be assigned properly, considering the priority of the leads based on certain factors.
Case Assignment Rules: The cases generated through different channels have to be assigned properly, considering the priority of the cases based on certain factors.
SALESFORCE Report’s: Reports in Salesforce are powerful tools that help users analyze and visualize their data. They allow users to summarize, filter, and organize data to gain valuable insights, track performance, and support informed decision-making.
SALESFORCE Dashboard’s: Salesforce dashboards let you create a visual display of data from your Salesforce reports. Each dashboard is made up of what Salesforce calls components—different types of charts, graphs, and tables—that allow you to get a quick overview of key metrics for your business.
